Doug Towns is a Labor & Employment partner in Jones Day’s Atlanta Office where he focuses exclusively on representing employers in all aspects of the employment relationship. His extensive litigation experience ranges from defending employers in single plaintiff employment cases to large class actions. In addition to his practice, Doug is active in the community, including serving as the General Counsel for Angel Flight of Georgia, the General Counsel for TEAM Georgia, and as a Board Member of the PDK Park Restoration Project. Dough also serves as the Pro Bono Coordinator for Jones Day’s Atlanta office. Working with the Atlanta Volunteer Lawyers Foundation and Atlanta Legal Aid, he developed a Special Education Advocacy Project to protect the legal rights of children with special needs. In 2005, the Project was selected for the State Bar of Georgia’s Williams B. Spann, Jr. Award. In 2007, Doug was one of only eleven attorneys across the state to receive the Eighth Annual Justice Robert Benham Award for Community service. Doug was also a member of the 2006 Leadership Atlanta Class.
